Story
I'm taking part in the 2016 SUP VIC Mad Paddle to raise funds for Sandringham Hospital.
The Mad Paddle will see 100 paddlers set out on Port Phillip Bay for a 30km+ downwinder ending at Sandringham Yacht Club.
The 2016 Mad Paddle fundraising target is $30,000 which will go towards the building of a new Day Procedure Centre at Sandringham Hospital. In the last two years the Hospital has seen a 50% increase in same day surgical procedures with more than 4,100 patients now having surgery each year. This significant increase has stretched our current spaces to the limit.
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing event and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
All donations you give go directly to charity, so click on DONATE! Any donation, big or small, is gratefully accepted. Please note, online donations are preferred, but if you wish to pay by cash or cheque, please contact Kerry Stratford, Fundraising Officer, Sandringham Hospital on 9076 1655 or email fundraising@sdmh.org.au.
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference to our community!
Activity
Sandringham Hospital
For more than 55 years Sandringham Hospital has been attending to the medical and surgical needs of the local community. We are proud to be a part of Bayside and the surrounding community – offering care close by so local residents can get help when needed most.
Sandringham Hospital provides care to more than 70,000 people each year. Our services include a 24-hour, 7 days per week emergency department, surgical services, general medical care, dialysis unit, ambulatory services and paediatric care. The hospital also plays an important part in the delivery of women’s and children’s health services providing a 20-bed maternity ward, birthing suites, breastfeeding support and a special care nursery, managed through a partnership with The Royal Women’s Hospital.
Your donation will go towards the purchase of medical equipment and the upgrade of facilities that will benefit the community for years to come.
